The Opening Ceremony for the Summer English Program was held on Monday, July 4th. All students enrolled in the program gathered in the school auditorium. Principal Wu addressed the students, telling them how important it is to know the English language as a global citizen. He stated that San Sin students are so fortunate to have American teachers teach English to them in their own school.
Dr. O'Kon also addressed the San Sin students, stating that it is an honor and a privilege for the American teachers to be with them. She explained that the San Sin-TCC Summer English Program has existed since 1993, and has truly changed many lives. The four American teachers introduced themselves individually to the students.

Immediately following the Opening Ceremony and a warm welcome, the teachers and students went to their classrooms to begin learning English!
